About the Role:
Sylvan Learning Center is seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented individual to join our team as a Center Assistant. As a key member of our support staff, you will play a vital role in ensuring the smooth operation of our center.
Key Responsibilities:
- Greet students and check them into assigned tables, ensuring a warm and welcoming environment.
- Pull instructional materials for teachers prior to students' arrival and during instruction as requested, demonstrating a commitment to supporting our educators.
- Facilitate engaging activities with students during transition time, promoting a positive and productive atmosphere.
- Cleaning and Maintenance:
- Clean restrooms, spot vacuum as needed, and wipe down instructional tables to maintain a clean and safe environment.
- Gather trash and dispose of it in the garbage container, demonstrating attention to detail and a commitment to our center's appearance.
- Filing and putting away materials, ensuring our center remains organized and efficient.
- Escort students out of the building to their parents, providing a safe and secure experience.
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience working with children is preferred, as it will enable you to better understand and support the needs of our students.
Work Schedule:
The Center Assistant will work Monday through Thursday from 3:00pm to 7:45pm and at least two Saturdays a month from 8:45am to 1:15pm, demonstrating flexibility and a willingness to adapt to our center's needs.
