Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Registered Respiratory Therapist to join our team at Corpus Christi Medical Center Bay Area. As a vital part of our patient care team, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality respiratory care to our patients.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform patient assessments, including breath sounds, airway patency, and cuff pressure.
  • Conduct diagnostic procedures to evaluate the need for and response to respiratory therapy.
  • Administer respiratory care therapies, including oxygen delivery, aerosol medication delivery, and chest physiotherapy.
  • Assist with placement of artificial airways and initiate, monitor, and maintain mechanical ventilation.
  • Monitor patients for therapeutic response and notify providers as needed.
  • Assist with transportation of ventilator-dependent patients and respond to emergent patient situations.
Requirements
  • Advanced Cardiac Life Support certification within 60 months of employment start date.
  • Neonate Resuscitation certification within 60 months of employment start date.
  • Pediatric Advanced Life Support certification within 60 months of employment start date.
  • Associate Degree in Respiratory Therapy or related field.
  • Basic Cardiac Life Support certification within 30 days of employment start date.
  • RRT/Respiratory Care Practitioner certification through the Texas Medical Board.
  • Licensed RRT through the NBRC.
  • Minimum of 2 years experience working with adults in an acute care setting.
  • At least 1 year NICU experience required.
  • Ability to work nights and rotating weekends.
