Job Summary

Viega is seeking a skilled Maintenance Technician III to join our team. As a key member of our maintenance team, you will be responsible for installing, maintaining, and repairing machinery, equipment, and physical structures. Your expertise will be essential in ensuring the efficient operation of our facilities and equipment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Install, maintain, and repair machinery, equipment, and physical structures
  • Repair and troubleshoot electrical/electronic equipment used in the plant
  • Follow specifications, blueprints, manuals, and schematic drawings
  • Suggest methods for improving output, production equipment, processes, or operating conditions
Training and Development

You will play a crucial role in training and developing the maintenance team, providing knowledge and expertise to increase the knowledge and capabilities of the maintenance staff. Your expertise will also be essential in ensuring compliance with local, state, and federal regulations.

Preventive Maintenance

You will perform preventative maintenance on building mechanical equipment, extruder machines, according to checklists provided by service manuals and scheduled maintenance programs. This will include inspecting belts, fluid levels, replacing filters, greasing bearings, seals, and other tasks as required.

Troubleshoot and Repair

You will inspect and test elements of electrical systems to locate and diagnose faults and malfunctions. You will also perform required repairs through replacement of inoperative parts or builds new controls or parts and provide an estimate of repair and/or replacement costs.

Record Keeping

You will maintain daily records and logs of work performed to track assignments to appropriate cost centers. You will also plan labor and material needs for repairing equipment and meet with production to determine problems and needs.

Requirements
  • High School Diploma or equivalent
  • 5-7 years of building and mechanical equipment maintenance and repair experience
