Innova Solutions is currently seeking a Facility Operations Engineer.

Position Type: Full-Time Contract, Temp to Permanent.
Duration: 12 Months
Location: Onsite

As a Facility Operations Engineer, your responsibilities will include:

  • Overseeing and enhancing the modernization and functionality of the facility through various maintenance initiatives.
  • Typical responsibilities encompass transformer upgrades, SCADA oversight, substation management (up to 26 kV), annual electrical equipment servicing, emergency lighting assessments, arc flash/short circuit/coordination evaluations, HVAC unit upgrades, roofing and pavement restoration, infrastructure enhancements, and other essential tasks to support evolving business requirements.
  • Creating and maintaining precise AutoCAD and spreadsheet documentation for all MEP and other building systems, ensuring all updates are current.
  • Acting as a technical advisor to the maintenance supervisor, trade personnel, and other project managers regarding building utilities and compliance with codes. Assisting in troubleshooting efforts alongside maintenance teams and internal stakeholders.
  • Managing the budget, timeline, and quality standards of multiple projects from inception to completion, including requirement assessments, cost estimation, scheduling, budget oversight, design management, construction supervision, and project closure.
  • Collaborating with various internal and external entities, including design consultants, contractors, and utility providers, to ensure successful project execution.
  • Preparing all capital and operational projects, including work orders, specifications, operating budgets, and financial terms/conditions of contracts.
  • Ensuring customer satisfaction through effective communication and overall management of client relationships.
  • Developing and managing financial forecasts in alignment with the functional organization’s AOP (Annual Operating Plan) and CIP (Capital Improvement Plan) budgets.
  • Understanding the procurement processes and methods to secure funding approvals as necessary.
Preferred Additional Skills:
  • Certifications in Facilities Management (FMP), Certified Facilities Professional (CFM), Professional Engineer (PE), LEED Accredited Professional (LEED AP).
  • Project management expertise with the ability to effectively collaborate with contractors, vendors, and team members.
  • Knowledge of relevant laws and regulations, including OSHA, ADA, NFPA, NEC, EPS, and local building codes.
  • Experience interpreting engineering blueprints, process specifications, and building layouts.
  • Proficiency in AutoCAD.
  • Strong communication and presentation skills, with the ability to convey information clearly and concisely.
  • Capability to design circuitry and panelboards for lighting, receptacles, HVAC, and other equipment, adhering to industry standards and code compliance.
  • Secret clearance required; Top Secret preferred.
The ideal candidate will possess:
  • A Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field, along with 5-10 years of relevant experience.

PAY RANGE AND BENEFITS:
Pay Range*: $50-$55 per hour.
*The pay range offered to a successful candidate will be based on various factors, including education, work experience, job location, specific duties, and certifications.
