Key Responsibilities for the Project Manager - Land/Site Development
As a Project Manager, you will:
- Drive business development initiatives and strategic planning
- Oversee technical aspects and review ongoing project activities
- Utilize design expertise in grading, utilities, low impact development, drainage, and public improvements
- Manage project staff, budgets, schedules, and cost estimates
- Assess client service requirements and contractual agreements
- Act as an advocate for clients while ensuring their satisfaction
- Assist with the entitlement process and permit applications for development projects, coordinating with land use consultants
Minimum Qualifications for the Project Manager - Land/Site Development
- Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering
- Professional Engineer (PE) license in California
- At least 3 years of experience as a project manager in civil engineering design, focusing on private development, infrastructure, and public works projects
- Proven ability to manage multi-disciplinary engineering projects, clients, and staff; including fee setting and contract negotiations
- Experience delivering projects for private developers in Southern California and surrounding municipalities
- Strong technical knowledge of engineering principles, practices, and procedures
