About the Role

The Salvation Army is seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Intake Coordinator to join our Adult Rehabilitation Program team. As a key member of our program, you will play a vital role in supporting the rehabilitation journey of men and women seeking to overcome addiction and achieve a better life.

Key Responsibilities
  • Screening and Intake: Conduct thorough screening interviews with applicants to assess their eligibility for our program, ensuring that they meet the necessary criteria and requirements.
  • Program Orientation: Process admitted beneficiaries by orienting them to our program services, explaining rules and regulations, and obtaining necessary signatures on formal agreements.
  • Case Management: Maintain ongoing contact with current and prospective referral sources to ensure a steady flow of referrals, devote time to outreach in the surrounding community, and attend inter-agency meetings as needed.
  • Reporting and Record-Keeping: Prepare reports and statistical information as required by the Center Administrator, maintain confidentiality of all records, and prepare beneficiary files with required forms.
  • Team Collaboration: Crosstrain to cover Program Aide tasks as needed and perform other written or verbal duties assigned by the supervisor or Administrator.
Requirements
  • Education: Bachelor's degree in a Social Service field preferred.
  • Experience: Two years of related experience.
  • Technical Skills: Proficiency in Microsoft Office programs, including MSWord, Excel, and Access, with the ability to learn additional software as needed.
  • Soft Skills: Excellent organizational skills, attention to detail, professional judgment, and integrity in maintaining confidentiality.
  • Communication Skills: Effective written and verbal communication skills.
What We Offer
  • Competitive Pay: $18.00 per hour.
  • Flexible Scheduling: Work schedules determined by Management, with part-time employees required to be flexible to ensure adequate coverage.
