About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Intake Coordinator to join our team at The Salvation Army Adult Rehabilitation Center (ARC). As an Intake Coordinator, you will play a critical role in supporting the rehabilitation program by conducting screening interviews, processing admissions, and maintaining ongoing contact with referral sources.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct thorough screening interviews with applicants to determine eligibility for the program
  • Process admissions by orienting new beneficiaries to the program, explaining rules and regulations, and obtaining necessary signatures
  • Maintain accurate records and data entry in the ARC software (BITS)
  • Refer ineligible applicants to other community agencies and institutions
  • Develop and maintain relationships with referral sources to ensure a steady flow of referrals
  • Attend inter-agency meetings and conferences as needed
  • Prepare reports and statistical information as required by the Center Administrator
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in a social service field preferred
  • Two years of related experience
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office programs, including Word, Excel, and Access
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
  • Professional judgment and integrity in maintaining confidentiality
  • Effective written and verbal communication skills
