We are seeking a highly skilled Electronics Engineer to join our team at GE Aviation. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for designing, building, and creating software for specific test equipment, including circuit design, fixture design, and custom programming.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design and develop software for test equipment, including circuit design, fixture design, and custom programming.
- Build drive rigs, including procuring parts.
- Develop gold standards for in-house and external test facilities.
- Review test specifications and procedures.
- Assist Process Engineers in identifying production failure causes and corrective actions.
- Assist facilities in shop floor equipment troubleshooting and repairs.
- Set up test equipment and test complex equipment using established procedures, schematics, and applicable Engineering, Manufacturing, Component Maintenance manuals or other approved documentation.
- Troubleshoot, layout, install, modification, and maintenance of complex electronics equipment utilizing schematics and knowledge of the assigned technology, systems, and components.
- Use associated tools, measuring, and test equipment.
- Set up test stand and manipulate the software to work with the control.
- Perform tests of various types according to engineering documentation and knowledge of electrical and mechanical principles.
- Create appropriate documentation when needed (electrical schematics, procedures, instructions, etc.).
- Interact with internal and external customers as needed.
- Have independent responsibility for compliance to Environment, Health & Safety.
- Multi-task between several projects at once while maintaining departmental quality standards.
Requirements:
- Associate degree from an accredited university or college in a technical discipline such as Electronics or Industrial Electronics or (a high school diploma/GED with at least 10 years' experience in Electronics or Industrial Electronics).
- Programming ability using Microsoft C or Visual Basic.
- Experience with CAD.
- Demonstrated experience in maintenance and troubleshooting of electronics.
- Humble: respectful, receptive, agile, eager to learn.
- Transparent: shares critical information, speaks with candor, contributes constructively.
- Focused: quick learner, strategically prioritizes work, committed.
- Leadership ability: strong communicator, decision maker, collaborative.
- Problem-solver: analytical-minded, challenges existing processes, critical thinker.
- Demonstrated ability in reading and interpretation of electrical schematics.
- Basic knowledge of electronic/electrical theory.
- Good manual dexterity to work with hand tools, test equipment, and computers.
- Strong organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
- Flexible under changing conditions and with different tasks, responsibilities, and people.
