Senior Quality Assurance Specialist

About the Role:
Nordson Corporation is seeking a highly skilled Quality Engineer to lead our quality management systems and drive process improvement initiatives. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for developing and implementing quality design, manufacturing, and administrative processes to ensure customer satisfaction and product excellence.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead cross-functional teams to implement quality design, manufacturing, and administrative processes
- Develop and document quality procedures, work instructions, and forms
- Conduct root cause analysis and implement corrective actions to prevent quality issues
- Develop and use metrics to identify areas for continuous improvement
- Train team members in problem-solving methodologies and quality tools
- Support internal manufacturing sites with change management, discrepant material, and product qualifications
- Perform quality audit activities, inspect, and monitor attributes critical to product quality
- Work with functional elements to develop, monitor, and report key internal and external metrics
- Support Supply Chain Management with supplier quality data collection and analysis
- Participate in New Product Development (NPD) process by conducting specification and design reviews
Requirements:
- 5 years of quality assurance experience in a high-volume manufacturing setting, injection molding experience preferred
- Experience working in an ISO 9000 manufacturing environment or equivalent
- Demonstrated intermediate problem-solving skills, including root cause analysis and problem-solving methods
- Demonstrated basic understanding and training in at least three of the following areas: probability and statistics, industrial statistics, QA tools, design of experiments
- Able to read, understand, and interpret technical drawings/documentation and create technical drawings/documentation in at least one discipline
- Working knowledge of injection molding equipment and processes, machined part equipment and processes, and advanced Lean principles and methods
- Certified Six Sigma Green Belt/Black Belt a plus
- Experience with Minitab or JMP
- Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Mechanical, Plastics, Manufacturing, or Industrial Engineering preferred
