Position Overview:
Request Technology, LLC is seeking a dedicated Associate Principal in Security Engineering. This role does not offer sponsorship.
Key Technologies: HashiCorp Vault, DevOps practices, FastAPI.
Compensation: $150,000 - $160,000 plus a 15% performance bonus.
Work Arrangement: Hybrid model with three days onsite.
Role Responsibilities:
As a vital member of the Security Engineering team, you will leverage your expertise to implement and manage solutions related to public key infrastructure (PKI), hardware security modules (HSMs), encryption methodologies, and secrets management. Your focus will be on adopting a security-first mindset when deploying or integrating solutions related to Secrets Management, PKI, and authentication processes using agile methodologies.
- Collaborate closely with the Security Engineering team to align on business goals across both on-premises and cloud architectures, ensuring successful automation of deployments.
- Gain a comprehensive understanding of the cloud ecosystem and CI/CD processes utilizing Terraform, Ansible, and Jenkins pipelines.
- Adopt a security-first approach when deploying or integrating products that involve Secrets Management, PKI, and Session Management.
- Engage with AWS Security Account, Lambda, auto-remediation, Security Hub, and VPCs to enhance and host security services.
- Assist in the deployment, maintenance, and enhancement of HashiCorp Vault Enterprise architecture, adhering to industry best practices.
- Consult on tools related to Kubernetes and containerized environments, including helm, Sysdig, and HashiCorp Vault cert manager integration.
Qualifications:
- Proficient in Python, Ansible, Terraform, FastAPI, and YAML.
- Experience with Terraform Providers and translating requirements into product specifications.
- Hands-on experience with Jenkins pipelines for continuous delivery integration.
- Experience in deploying and maintaining infrastructure in public cloud environments such as AWS or Azure/GCP.
- Knowledge of Secrets Management best practices within dynamic infrastructures.
- Familiarity with system monitoring techniques and tools for unattended operations.
- Experience in API development and microservices architecture.
- Working knowledge of Docker/Kubernetes for deploying, configuring, and managing containerized applications.
- Technical understanding of Secrets Management and Privileged Access Management across various systems and applications.
Technical Skills:
- Experience in implementing DevOps automation within public cloud infrastructures using Terraform and Ansible, following Infrastructure as Code (IaC) principles.
- Self-driven to learn new products within the Security Engineering domain and apply best practices in a dynamic cloud environment.
- Experience in API development and microservices.
- Hands-on experience with HashiCorp Vault.
- Understanding of Secrets Management and Privileged Access Management.
- Minimum of 3 years in a DevOps or DevSecOps role, focusing on development environments, GitOps, version control, RESTful APIs, and build processes.
- At least 5 years of experience in cloud architecture and deployments.
Certifications:
- Certification in one or more of the following areas is preferred:
- AWS Certified Developer or related AWS certifications.
- Certified Kubernetes Administrator.
- HashiCorp Certified: Terraform Associate.
- HashiCorp Certified: Vault Associate.
- DevOps security or related certifications.
