About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Meat Department Assistant Manager to join our team at The GIANT Company. As a key member of our meat department team, you will play a critical role in ensuring the effective and profitable operations of our meat department.

Key Responsibilities
  • Receive and process deliveries, including breaking down loads and rotating cooler stock.
  • Weigh, price, and label products to ensure accurate inventory and pricing.
  • Stock cases and prepare valued-added products to meet customer demand.
  • Provide exceptional customer service and product knowledge to drive sales and customer satisfaction.
  • Manage inventory and ordering to meet sales and customer demand.
  • Responsible for sales, gross profit, shrink, and labor targets.
  • Reconcile invoices and execute weekly merchandising plans.
  • Ensure sanitation and food safety standards are met.
  • Train and develop team members to improve skills and knowledge.
  • Manage the department in the absence of the meat manager.
Requirements
  • Must be authorized to work in the U.S.
  • Must be able to read, communicate, and understand company policies and safety regulations.
  • Must meet the ergonomic and physical requirements for this position.
  • Must be able to use or learn to use equipment and tools used to perform this job.
  • Must be able to work in a cold environment.
