Job Summary

Wilson Workforce Solutions, LLC is seeking a highly skilled Logistics Manager to lead our transportation and dunnage management efforts across our US operations and customer base. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for developing and implementing comprehensive logistics plans and strategies to optimize the flow of goods, minimize costs, and enhance operational efficiency.

Key Responsibilities
  • Transportation and Dunnage Management
    • Develop and implement transportation and dunnage management processes to ensure timely and cost-effective delivery of materials and finished goods.
    • Coordinate and manage transportation activities, including selecting carriers, negotiating contracts, and monitoring shipment schedules.
    • Manage the import/export process and ensure compliance with all required government laws and licensing regulations.
  • Logistics Planning and Strategy
    • Develop and implement comprehensive logistics plans and strategies to optimize the flow of goods, minimize costs, and enhance operational efficiency.
    • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to align logistics activities with production schedules and customer demands.
  • Team Leadership and Development
    • Manage, coach, and train direct reports to ensure KPIs are met.
    • Create a continuous improvement culture to eliminate waste through setting best practices, training, and potentially automation or software solutions.
  • Reporting and Analysis
    • Produce regular reports and statistics on a daily, weekly, and monthly basis.
    • Develop and maintain Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) for logistics and dunnage programs.
Requirements
  • Education and Experience
    • Bachelor's Degree in Supply Chain, Business Logistics, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
    • Previous SAP experience a plus, and also TMS tendering and carrier management software.
  • Skills and Qualifications
    • Strong analytical skills, ability to draw conclusions from data and anticipate future constraints.
    • MS Office, including demonstrated Excel experience to convert data, write formulas, and provide information that makes informed decisions.
    • Strong critical-thinking skills with a solution-oriented mindset.
    • Attention to detail and a high degree of accuracy and organization.
    • Excellent written and oral communication skills.
    • Ability to function both independently and as part of a team; must be flexible and excited to grow with the organization.
    • Previous managerial experience required.
    • APICS Certification a plus.
