Team Overview:
The Cluster Financial Controller will oversee the month-end closing procedures for the designated cluster, primarily collaborating with the Service Delivery Centre and Global Business Services (GBS). This role is pivotal in ensuring the precise and timely closure of financial records.

The incumbent will also be responsible for establishing and maintaining local policies, processes, and controls in alignment with global standards, ensuring compliance with necessary local activities.

The Cluster Financial Controller will serve as the primary liaison for the GBS Service Delivery Lead, ensuring prompt communication regarding critical financial matters such as accruals and provisions.

Additionally, the role involves providing essential information to the Service Delivery Centre as outlined in the operational processes, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.

The Cluster Financial Controller will regularly engage with the GBS Service Delivery Lead to confirm that business needs are met according to established Service Level Agreements (SLAs) and to evaluate service delivery performance.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Audit Leadership: Lead internal and external audit processes, ensuring all findings are addressed effectively.
  • Balance Sheet Management: Collaborate with the Cluster Finance Controlling Director to refine processes for quarterly balance sheet reviews and develop detailed reconciliations for key balance sheet items.
  • Financial Reporting: Guide the month-end close process, conducting post-mortem analyses to identify areas for improvement.
  • Stakeholder Engagement: Foster strong professional relationships across the organization, facilitating communication between teams to align expectations and results.
  • Compliance and Risk Management: Ensure adherence to internal controls and compliance with updated financial regulations.

Qualifications:
The ideal candidate will possess:

  • 5-8 years of experience in an Accounting or Controlling role.
  • A degree in Accounting or a related field.
  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Attention to detail and exceptional organizational abilities.
  • Proficiency in managing recurring tasks to meet deadlines.
  • Problem-solving capabilities and a collaborative mindset.
  • High reliability and accountability.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Extensive knowledge of Excel and experience with ERP systems (AX experience is advantageous).
  • Familiarity with reporting applications (HFM and Management Reporter are essential).
