Ferruzzo & Ferruzzo, LLP is looking for a seasoned Real Estate Planning/Finance Attorney with six (6) to twelve (12) years of extensive experience in managing the intricacies of real estate transactions, including financial instruments. This role provides a chance to engage in a collaborative atmosphere, working closely with various Partners and contributing to a wide array of legal issues within the Corporate and Real Estate Practice Group. The ideal candidate will possess a robust background in real estate dealings and a solid grasp of financial principles, offering the potential for leadership and advancement within the firm's Real Estate Practice.

Key Responsibilities

General Duties:

  • Represent clients autonomously or in collaboration with other attorneys during meetings, proceedings, and negotiations.
  • Oversee multiple legal matters concurrently and independently.
  • Delegate tasks among associates and support personnel.
  • Draft case theories and memoranda.
  • Conduct thorough due diligence on legal matters related to contracts and agreements.
  • Update Senior Management on the progress of legal matters.
  • Prepare reports to keep the Firm's staff and clients informed about case developments.

Client Relations:

  • Consult with the Managing Partner and Practice Group Leaders regarding client matters.
  • Foster and maintain relationships with clients through effective communication and clarification of legal processes.
  • Develop a deep understanding of clients' businesses, economic drivers, and sector needs.

Business Development:

  • Engage in business development and marketing efforts to expand the practice.
  • Identify new client opportunities through marketing, networking, writing, and speaking engagements.
  • Contribute to the Firm's values and culture by participating in Corporate Social Responsibility, pro-bono work, and social initiatives.
  • Mentor associate attorneys and legal assistants, enhancing their skills and capabilities.

Qualifications

  • Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law institution.
  • Active member in good standing of the California State Bar.
  • Six (6) to twelve (12) years of relevant experience in real estate transactions and financial instruments.
  • Strong leadership abilities with aspirations for growth and advancement within the firm.
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Proven capability to manage multiple legal matters concurrently.
  • Demonstrated success in client relations and business development.
  • Commitment to maintaining ethical standards and Firm values.

Compensation and Benefits

  • Competitive base salary ranging from $150,000 to $225,000, based on experience and client portfolio.
