Position Title: Retail Operations Leader

Location: Old Saybrook Store 63

Position Summary:

We are in search of dynamic individuals with a robust background in management and leadership within the retail and convenience sector. This role demands experience in overseeing a high-traffic establishment. Ideal candidates will possess outstanding communication abilities and a proactive, results-driven mindset. Compensation will be competitive and commensurate with experience, complemented by a structured bonus plan that reflects ownership principles. A comprehensive benefits package, including health insurance and retirement options, will be provided. Relocation assistance may be available.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Ensure an enjoyable shopping experience for all patrons.
  • Effectively address customer and employee concerns and complaints.
  • Implement the PMG Sales Strategy and operational plans to enhance sales performance.
  • Review financial statements and reports to maintain store profitability.
  • Oversee daily tasks and performance evaluations for all team members.
  • Manage daily administrative duties, including cash handling and inventory control.
  • Coordinate labor and team schedules efficiently.
  • Conduct operations with integrity, honesty, and respect.
  • Foster relationships with local community partners to enhance store presence.
  • Analyze market trends and develop strategies to address challenges and opportunities.
  • Monitor local competitors and adjust strategies accordingly.
  • Ensure adherence to PMG's standards of operational excellence.

Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or GED; Bachelor's degree in Business or a related field preferred.
  • Proven experience in leading and developing effective teams.
  • Experience in staff selection, training, and performance management.
  • Availability to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays.
  • Reliable transportation is essential.
  • Strong leadership skills in a fast-paced environment.
  • Exceptional customer service capabilities.
  • Ability to drive positive change through coaching and team development.
  • Self-motivated with the ability to work independently.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook.
  • Strong multitasking abilities.
  • Goal-oriented with exceptional organizational skills.
  • Ability to lift and carry up to 35 lbs.
