Job Summary

The Store Manager position at Monro Inc. is a leadership role that requires a strong background in retail sales and management. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for providing day-to-day leadership to the store and its teammates.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop Sales and Technical Teammates

Develop and implement strategies to enhance the skills and performance of sales and technical teammates, ensuring a consistent 5-star guest experience.

Drive Sales and Revenue Growth

Assist in the development and implementation of sales plans, leveraging thorough knowledge of services and products to achieve sales goals.

Maximize Guest Satisfaction and Loyalty

Introduce tire and service products to guests, promoting sales and guest satisfaction through effective communication and relationship-building.

Lead and Develop Team Members

Support teammates in establishing and maintaining a productive sales environment, providing training and development opportunities to enhance their skills and performance.

Manage Store Operations

Ensure the store is effectively staffed, managing recruiting, hiring, training, scheduling, evaluating, performance management, and development of teammates.

Control Expenses and Manage Resources

Manage payroll, telephone usage, store maintenance and repairs, supplies, utilities, and other controllable expenses to ensure expense control.

Management Responsibility

The Store Manager position provides daily leadership to all positions within the store, including General Service Technicians, Technicians, Technical Service Manager, Service Manager, and Assistant Store Manager. This position operates under the general direction of the District Manager.

Qualifications
  • Education and Experience

High School Diploma or equivalent, 2-4 years of demonstrated leadership experience in a retail/sales environment.

Skills and Abilities

Guest and team-focused mindset, excellent verbal and written communication skills, business mentality, and ability to influence and motivate a team to achieve set goals and objectives.

Work Environment and Physical Requirements

This job operates in an automotive shop environment, with exposure to moderate noise levels, adverse weather conditions, chemicals, odors, dirt, and dust. Must possess a current valid driver's license and have a satisfactory Motor Vehicle Report (MVR). Ability to work flexible hours, days, evenings, weekends, and holidays. Must be able to lift, carry, and stock merchandise and supplies up to 50 lbs. without assistance. Frequent standing and walking for long periods of time, frequent reaching overhead and below the knees, including squatting, bending, stooping, kneeling, and twisting.
