As a 3D Reconstruction Scientist within the Image Formation division, you will be instrumental in crafting and executing cutting-edge algorithms and methodologies for generating 3D visuals from a network of sensors. Your contributions will significantly influence the sectors we engage with by allowing our offerings to produce exceptionally accurate and intricate 3D models and visualizations.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Investigate, design, and implement tomographic algorithms for 3D image reconstruction using complex phase-history data sourced from radar sensors.
  • Develop autofocus methodologies to enhance images affected by imprecise positional data of the sensor platform, as well as phase inaccuracies stemming from various hardware limitations within our distributed sensor architecture.
  • Create efficient data preprocessing and calibration strategies to improve the quality and precision of 3D reconstructions.
  • Optimize algorithms for near real-time generation of 3D imagery within our cloud-based production framework.
  • Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to incorporate 3D image reconstruction solutions into our product offerings.
  • Conduct comprehensive testing, validation, and performance assessments of 3D image reconstruction algorithms to ensure they fulfill user expectations.
Essential Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or a related discipline.
  • A minimum of 4 years of experience in 3D image reconstruction, 3D computer vision, multi-view geometry, or a related area.
  • Strong teamwork and communication abilities.
  • Ability to learn new concepts quickly and independently.
  • High levels of self-motivation and accountability.
  • Capacity to thrive in a fast-paced environment with tight deadlines.
  • Proficiency in MATLAB, C/C++, and/or Python.
Preferred Skills and Experience:
  • Master's degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or a related field.
  • At least 2 years of experience in deploying 3D image processing or generation algorithms into production systems.
  • 2+ years of experience in one or more of the following areas:
    • Signal processing for tomographic SAR and/or interferometric SAR.
    • Depth estimation using stereo images, multi-view geometry, or optical flow.
    • Generating 3D images from 2D sensors.
    • Estimation theoretic approaches to 3D localization.
    • Ambiguity resolution for 3D localization.
  • Experience in adapting image processing algorithms for GPU clusters.
  • Familiarity with stochastic and adaptive signal processing techniques.
  • Experience in extracting insights from 3D data products using AI/ML techniques.
  • Experience in creating 3D data products from geospatial datasets is a plus.
