Key Responsibilities:
HR Support Functions (70%)
- Assist in the onboarding process, including I-9 verification, employee separations, and status modifications.
- Ensure adherence to federal, state, and local payroll regulations and best practices.
- Facilitate payroll adjustments (e.g., new hires, terminations, salary increases) and system enhancements.
- Respond to payroll inquiries from employees and management, providing necessary information.
- Maintain confidentiality of payroll operations and employee information.
- Collaborate with HR and finance teams to manage payroll data, generate reports, and ensure accurate ledger entries.
- Work alongside department colleagues and leadership to address HR-related issues.
- Support payroll operations by adhering to established policies and procedures, reporting necessary changes.
Talent Acquisition Support (20%)
- Assist in the talent acquisition process, including reviewing resumes, scheduling interviews, and salary negotiations.
- Conduct comprehensive onboarding for new hires, ensuring a seamless transition into the organization.
- Partner with hiring managers to clarify job requirements and candidate profiles.
- Maintain and update recruitment documentation and applicant tracking systems.
- Engage in recruitment events and job fairs to attract potential candidates.
Qualifications:
- Pursuing a Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Finance, Accounting, or a related discipline.
- Demonstrated interest in payroll processing and HR functions.
- Familiarity with payroll software (e.g., ADP, QuickBooks Payroll) is a plus.
- Understanding of federal and state employment regulations.
- Strong work ethic and ability to collaborate effectively within a team.
- High level of professionalism and integrity.
- Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information with discretion.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities.
- Effective organizational, multitasking, and prioritization skills.
- Bilingual proficiency (Mandarin/English) is highly desired.
