About the Role:

We are seeking a highly skilled Physician Assistant or Nurse Practitioner to join our team at the Ayer Neuroscience Institute at Hartford HealthCare. This is an exceptional opportunity to work with a talented group of neurosurgeons and advanced practice providers, providing comprehensive care to patients with complex neurological conditions.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide high-quality patient care in a fast-paced neurosurgical setting
  • Collaborate with neurosurgeons and other healthcare professionals to develop and implement treatment plans
  • Perform procedures such as external ventricular drains, ICP monitors, lumbar drains, and shunt taps
  • Assist in the operating room during brain and spine surgeries

Requirements:

  • BE/BC NCCPA certified and CT licensed Physician Assistant or APRN with First Assist
  • Experience working in a neurosurgical setting preferred
