We are seeking an experienced Early Childhood Educator to join our team as an Assistant Infant and Toddler Specialist at YMCA Of Greater Hartford. This role is responsible for assisting the Head Teacher in daily classroom supervision, including outdoor play activities, using positive discipline techniques to ensure a safe and healthy environment.

About the Job:

  • Implement developmentally appropriate curriculums, ensuring a high-quality education and care for infants and toddlers.
  • Supervise parents and other classroom visitors, promoting a brave, respectful culture at the Y.
  • Maintain accurate records, including anecdotal logs and attendance reports.

Qualifications:

  • Minimum of two years of early childhood experience, preferably in an infant and toddler setting.
  • Knowledge of child development, early childhood education, and Connecticut early learning and development standards.
  • Bilingual (Spanish/English) a plus.

Salary: $50,000 per year, plus comprehensive benefits package, including medical, dental, and vision insurance, 401(k) matching, and paid time off.
