Job Title: Outpatient Registrar

At Lakewood Ranch Medical Center, we are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Outpatient Registrar to join our team. As a key member of our registration department, you will be responsible for ensuring seamless patient flow, accurate registrations, and efficient collections of out-of-pocket payments.

Responsibilities:
  • Coordinate patient flow and registration processes to ensure timely and accurate patient care.
  • Verify patient information, insurance coverage, and demographic data to ensure accuracy and compliance.
  • Process patient payments and handle cash, credit card transactions, and other payment methods.
  • Communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare providers to ensure clear understanding of patient needs and services.
  • Maintain accurate records and reports to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and hospital policies.
  • Collaborate with other departments to ensure smooth patient flow and efficient use of resources.
Requirements:
  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • One year of experience in a hospital setting or related field preferred.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
  • Basic computer skills and knowledge of medical terminology.
  • Ability to work varied shifts, including evenings and weekends.
