Job Overview

This position contributes to the mission of Lakewood Ranch Medical Center by performing accurate and timely testing in areas for which the employee is licensed by the State of Florida, Agency for Healthcare Administration, Board of Clinical Laboratory Personnel.

Responsibilities
  • Perform accurate and timely testing in areas for which the employee is licensed
  • Communicate effectively with patients, physicians, and other healthcare professionals
  • Provide excellent customer service and maintain a positive attitude
  • Participate in quality improvement initiatives and maintain a safe and clean work environment
  • Meet productivity and quality standards
Requirements
  • B.S. degree in Medical Technology or associate level technologist
  • At least one year of experience as a Medical Technologist or recent graduate with licensure
  • Florida State licensure as a Medical Technologist under the provisions of Chapter 483
  • Required licensure in Hematology, Clinical Chemistry, and Immunohematology
  • ASCP certification preferred
