Key Responsibilities
  • Verify customer identification and confirm it meets legal drinking age requirements.
  • Develop and present a comprehensive bar menu that meets customer preferences.
  • Prepare and mix ingredients to create a variety of cocktails and beverages for bar and restaurant guests.
  • Engage with customers in a friendly manner, taking orders, serving snacks, food, and drinks.
  • Utilize the correct glassware for specific beverages and maintain a high level of presentation.
  • Respond promptly to customer concerns and develop strong, productive relationships with internal and external customers.
  • Maintain the highest standard of professionalism, ethics, and attitude towards customers and team members.
  • Ensure bar and working areas are clean and organized, and maintain par levels of equipment and supplies.
  • Stay up-to-date with the latest cocktail trends and mixes, and assist in maintaining and controlling par stocks.
  • Requisition beverages in relation to business volume and comply with sanitation and safety regulations and standards.
  • Restock and replenish bar inventory and supplies prior to shift, and perform bar opening and closing duties.
  • Take inventory of bar supplies and beverages, and comply with all food and beverage regulations.
  • Stay updated on Forbes Travel Service Standards and perform additional duties as requested by management.
Requirements
  • A positive attitude and ability to work well under pressure with other staff.
  • Able to perform high-quality work while unsupervised and handle money accurately.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and deliver orders in a timely manner.
  • Thorough knowledge of wine, beer, and spirits, as well as excellent knowledge of mixing, garnishing, and serving drinks.
  • Follow all company policies and procedures, including proper timekeeping and emergency and safety procedures.
Qualifications
  • High school or equivalent education required.
  • Certificate from an accredited Bartending program.
  • Ability to obtain and/or maintain any government required licenses, certificates, or permits, including 'SERV Safe Certified' by the State of Florida.
Physical Demands
  • Ability to work in outdoor elements with minimal ventilation and small/enclosed space.
  • Ability to handle equipment, mirrors, or other display items, as well as grasp, lift, push/pull, and carry up to 50 pounds.
  • Ability to exert well-paced ability in limited space and to reach other locations on a timely basis.
  • Ability to lift up to 30 lbs. on a regular and continuing basis.
  • Ability to bend, stoop, squat, and stretch to fulfill required tasks.
  • Requires grasping, writing, standing, sitting, walking, repetitive motions, bending, climbing, listening, and hearing ability and visual acuity.
  • Talking and hearing occur continuously in the process of communicating with guests, supervisors, and co-workers.
  • Vision occurs continuously with the most common visual functions being those of near and color vision and depth perception.
  • Requires manual and finger dexterity to use and operate all necessary equipment.
