Heavy Equipment Maintenance Technician

The Heavy Equipment Maintenance Specialist is responsible for performing inspections, preventative maintenance, and minor repairs on heavy mobile equipment. This role is crucial for maintaining the safety and reliability of valuable assets used in the mining process.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct thorough inspections of equipment and document current or potential problems
- Complete preventative maintenance tasks, including lubrication and inventory management
- Maintain a clean and safe work environment
- Participate in the planning of future work and collaborate with the team
- High School degree and prior relevant experience with heavy mobile equipment
- Ability to follow detailed routines and communicate effectively
- High attention to detail, safety mindset, and teamwork skills
This role operates 100% of the time in an underground or surface mine setting, frequently involving heavy equipment operation. The employee must be able to lift or move up to 50 pounds and have specific vision abilities, including close vision, distance vision, and the ability to adjust focus.
Physical Demands
The employee is occasionally required to stand, walk, sit, use hands to finger, handle, or feel objects, tools, or controls, reach with hands and arms, climb stairs, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl, talk or hear, and taste or smell.
