Responsibilities
  • Quality: Ensure accurate and thorough completion of work.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide diagnostic tests to individuals of all ages, including geriatric, adult, and adolescents, to aid in diagnosing disease processes.
  • Practice as a member of the healthcare team, prioritizing patients, physicians, peers, visitors, and other professionals.
  • Work in various patient care areas, including critical and non-critical locations.
  • Reflect the highest achievable quality as defined by departmental and professional standards.
  • Participate in hospital/departmental quality projects to enhance skills and patient care outcomes.
  • Participate in hospital/departmental educational programs as required.
  • Accountable for certifications and records required to perform job.
  • Represent St. Luke's Health Memorial in a professional and accountable manner.
Requirements
  • Education: High School/GED
  • Preferred: Graduate of an accredited echocardiography program
  • Licensure/Certification: BLS certification (through an approved AHA program) & Registered through either American Registry for Diagnostic Medical Sonography - ARDMS (RDCS) or Cardiovascular Credentialing International - CCI (RCS)
  • Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
    • Perform duties stated under position responsibilities.
    • Acquire adequate and accurate information for physician interpretation.
    • Communicate effectively with co-workers, physicians, and general staff as part of a team in a professional manner at all times.
    • Interpersonal skills for communication with patients, visitors, physicians, and other team members.
    • Respond calmly and effectively in stressful environments.
