Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Echocardiography Specialist to join our team at Chi. As an Echocardiography Specialist, you will be responsible for providing diagnostic testing and therapies to patients, including echocardiograms, pulmonary function studies, and cardiac stress testing.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform diagnostic tests to aid in diagnosing disease processes in patients of all ages.
  • Work as a member of the healthcare team to provide high-quality patient care and maintain a safe and clean environment.
  • Coordinate patient flow and activities within the Cardiopulmonary department.
  • Perform equipment maintenance and ensure proper functioning of diagnostic equipment.
  • Participate in hospital and departmental quality projects to enhance skills and patient care outcomes.
  • Participate in educational programs and maintain certifications and records required for the position.
  • Represent Chi in a professional and accountable manner in interactions with physicians, community relations, and vendors.
Requirements
  • High School diploma or equivalent required; graduate of an accredited echocardiography program preferred.
  • BLS certification through an approved AHA program required.
  • Registered through either American Registry for Diagnostic Medical Sonography (ARDMS) or Cardiovascular Credentialing International (CCI) required.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Interpersonal skills for effective communication with patients, visitors, physicians, and other team members.
  • Ability to respond calmly and effectively in stressful environments.
Working Conditions

This position requires the ability to work in a fast-paced environment and maintain a high level of accuracy and attention to detail. The Echocardiography Specialist must be able to work effectively in a team environment and communicate effectively with patients, visitors, and other healthcare professionals.
