Energy Sales Representative

At NRG Energy, we're committed to using the power of consumer choice to help change the way power is made. As a Sales Agent for Green Mountain Energy, you'll play a key role in promoting and selling our products and services to prospective customers in various settings.

Key Responsibilities:

You'll be responsible for generating face-to-face conversations with customers to promote and sell our products and services. Your primary goal will be to acquire new customers and enroll them in our programs. You'll work closely with other members of the Sales Team to determine best practices, maximize customer satisfaction, learn market trends, and support sales and marketing initiatives.

Essential Duties:

  • Discuss and assist customers in finding the most suitable price plan and promotion/incentive based on their needs
  • Achieve and maintain set performance metrics while providing best-in-class service
  • Navigate our order entry system(s) efficiently as necessary
  • Utilize and exercise compliance standards for securing customer information
  • Abide by site rules and regulations, including all company safety rules/regulations

Requirements:

A high school diploma or GED equivalent is required, and you must be 18 years of age or older. 1-3 years of sales or customer-facing experience is preferred, or other applicable work experience. You'll need excellent communication skills, both written and oral, as well as proficient mathematical/analytical skills. You'll also need to be able to work effectively as an individual and as part of a team, and be able to communicate clearly with customers.

Working Conditions:

This is a part-time position that requires working onsite at assigned locations or events within an assigned geography. You'll need to be available to work evenings and weekends, and be eligible for commission incentives and/or targets provided by the Team Leads and/or Area Managers.
