Core Responsibilities:

  • Oversee and direct the development and implementation of projects.
  • Establish strategies for project execution, including contracting, material management, and scheduling.
  • Lead project teams and foster professional growth among team members.
  • Apply capital deployment processes effectively for project management.
  • Monitor and predict project expenditures.
  • Ensure adherence to regulatory standards, engineering guidelines, and equipment specifications.
  • Maintain compliance with safety, environmental, and operational regulations.
  • Administer departmental records and databases.

Key Activities:

  • Direct project development and execution, including the creation of Authorization for Expenditures (AFEs) and assessment of project viability.
  • Supervise the management of change (MOC) procedures.
  • Assist in conducting root cause analyses (RCAs).
  • Formulate strategies for project execution, including contracting and material management.
  • Utilize capital deployment processes for effective project management.
  • Oversee project cost management and accountability.
  • Engage in the formulation and management of the capital plan.
  • Coordinate with various departments to ensure project alignment.
  • Prepare technical designs, drawings, and specifications.
  • Develop procurement documents, including bids and change orders.
  • Collaborate directly with engineering disciplines.
  • Ensure projects meet all regulatory and code requirements.
  • Manage project closure and financial reconciliation.
  • Support project systems and initiatives.
  • Contribute to ISO compliance efforts.
  • Perform additional duties as required.

Qualifications and Skills:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Engineering with a minimum of five years of experience in Civil/Structural Engineering, or a degree specifically in Civil/Structural Engineering.
  • At least four years of experience in Project Management is highly desirable.
  • Possession of an Engineer in Training certificate or a Professional Engineering license is preferred.
