About the Role

We are seeking an exceptional Senior Director, Labor and Program Strategist to join our team at Global Jobs. As a key member of our organization, you will be responsible for leading labor-related programs, managing teams, and ensuring compliance with donor-funded initiatives.

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in international development, international relations, and labor issues, with a minimum of 15 years of experience in managing multiyear multimillion dollar USG-funded programs. You will be expected to provide leadership, support, and guidance to staff, as well as develop and execute strategic plans for the unit that result in increased revenues and accurate unit spending.

This is a hybrid position located in Washington, DC, requiring a minimum of one day per week on-site. The salary range for this position is $99,711.00 to $149,567.00 annually.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead labor-related programs, including child labor, forced labor, acceptable conditions of work, and international labor standards, funded by the U.S. Department of Labor (USDOL) and the United States Department of State (DOS), among other potential donors.
  • Manage teams, including remote supervision of field staff, and ensure compliance with donor-funded initiatives.
  • Develop and execute strategic plans for the unit that result in increased revenues and accurate unit spending.
  • Cultivate relationships with new and established donors, partners, and/or other high-level stakeholders.
  • Represent the unit at external functions/events, such as speaking engagements and serving on panels.
Requirements
  • Masters degree in a subject relevant to international development, international relations, and/or labor issues.
  • Minimum of 15 years of experience in international development, with a focus on labor-related programs.
  • Strong leadership and management skills, with experience in managing teams and ensuring compliance with donor-funded initiatives.
  • Ability to develop high-quality full proposals and reports, as well as represent the unit at external functions/events.
  • Proven track record of raising public and/or private funds, if applicable to the position.
  • Ability to competently cultivate relationships with new and established donors, partners, and/or other high-level stakeholders.
  • Travel up to 25%.
