Position Overview:

The role of the Clinic Reception / Admissions is integral to the operation of our healthcare facility. This position involves direct interaction with patients, managing phone communications, scheduling appointments, and overseeing patient registration processes. The individual in this role is expected to maintain a welcoming atmosphere for patients while ensuring an efficient flow of operations.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Manage appointment scheduling and follow-up for healthcare providers, adhering to their specific guidelines and preferences.
  • Handle all patient admission and registration documentation, including collecting insurance details and inputting data into the electronic system.
  • Prepare and print registration forms for each patient visit, ensuring accuracy and completeness.
  • Initiate necessary paperwork for workers' compensation and other relevant programs.
  • Conduct insurance pre-authorization for services as required.

Professional Conduct:

Maintain a composed and professional demeanor in a dynamic environment while strictly following HIPAA regulations and guidelines.

Cross-Training and Additional Duties:

Be open to cross-training for various clerical roles within the clinic and perform additional tasks as assigned.

Qualifications:

Applicants should possess a high school diploma, with some college education preferred. A minimum of two years of office experience is required, along with proficiency in computer operations and typing.
