Electrical Technician Trainee

As we expand into new industries, we are a dynamic and responsive company in search of a dedicated Electrical Apprentice who is eager to engage in hands-on work and demonstrate a genuine enthusiasm for the electrical field.
Key Responsibilities- Interpret control drawings, wiring diagrams, and relay schematics.
- Ensure accurate and safe performance of all field-testing equipment.
- Coordinate with relevant teams to schedule necessary support for testing and commissioning of systems and equipment.
- Conduct point-to-point checks.
- Execute pre-functional and functional testing.
- Develop energization plans.
To thrive in this role, candidates must possess confidence, strong troubleshooting abilities, and effective communication skills. Proficiency in demonstrating safe electrical troubleshooting techniques using both basic and advanced testing equipment is essential.
Additional qualifications include:
- Strong written and verbal communication skills with excellent presentation capabilities.
- Familiarity with Microsoft Excel, Word, and Outlook.
- Strong organizational and time management skills.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Background in electrical, HVAC, and mechanical systems.
- Exceptional problem-solving and diagnostic skills.
- Meticulous attention to detail and a strong commitment to safety.
- Ability to adhere to instructions and safety protocols.
- Outstanding customer service and communication skills.
- Dependable with a robust work ethic.
The physical demands outlined are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this position:
- Ability to lift 20-30 pounds independently; lifting from knee to shoulder heights; additional lifting from various levels.
- Capacity to lift up to 60 pounds independently; lifting from knee to shoulder heights; other lifting required from various levels.
- Ability to carry and transport up to 60 pounds over a distance of 20 feet.
- Requires standing for extended periods with frequent stretching, reaching, walking, and stooping, as well as pushing and/or pulling in environments that may be cold, hot, noisy, and wet, with potential fumes or odors.
