Position Summary

We are seeking a Human Resources Business Partner I to support our operations.

In the role of Human Resources Business Partner I, your responsibilities will include:
Providing independent support to internal customer groups regarding member relations strategies, programs, services, and solutions tailored to meet business objectives. Acting as both a business partner and an advocate for members, you will interpret, administer, and implement corporate policies, procedures, and cultural initiatives. Collaborating with management to ensure adherence to corporate policies, practices, and objectives is essential.

Required Qualifications

Education:

  • Bachelor's degree in business, industrial relations, human resources management, or a related field.
  • Education Equivalency:
    • Associate degree with 2 years of relevant experience or,
    • High school diploma with 4 years of relevant experience.

Work Experience:

  • Minimum of 2 years in a Human Resources generalist or specialist role, including at least 1 year in employee relations.
  • Proven experience in counseling and coaching members and managers in HR-related situations.

Additional Requirements:

  • Must have the current right to work in the United States without sponsorship.
  • Ability to work on-site without relocation assistance.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience in conducting workplace investigations and resolving related issues.
  • Background in evaluating candidates for selection and program appropriateness.
  • HR experience in a manufacturing environment.
  • SHRM certification is a plus.
Key Responsibilities
  • HR Business Partners engage in specialized HR functions focusing on consulting with the business, including coaching and advising on significant people and cultural issues.
  • You will be embedded within assigned customer groups to understand specific business drivers and concerns, establishing action plans that support the achievement of goals.
  • Facilitating cultural change initiatives through training and support for both members and management, utilizing various coaching tools to ensure alignment with Haworth values.
  • Collaborating with business and HR teams to develop key talent initiatives such as workforce planning and succession planning.
  • Advising members on relations issues to foster a respectful work environment aligned with corporate values.
  • Investigating member concerns and facilitating conflict resolution, documenting necessary follow-up actions.
  • Must be capable of performing all essential job functions with or without accommodation.
  • Proficiency in office automation and communication tools used in the workplace is required.
  • Additional duties may be assigned as necessary.
