Key Responsibilities
  • Load and unload parts or products onto fixtures
  • Prepare parts for coating
  • Operate coating equipment, including guns, hoppers, and booth systems
  • Monitor machine gauges and equipment operation to detect defects
  • Determine paint flow, viscosity, and coating quality through visual inspections or using viscometers
  • Bake parts at appropriate temperatures within time limitations
  • Ensure efficient production and quality consistency
  • Perform daily maintenance and cleaning of equipment
  • Contribute to a safe and clean working environment
  • Document actions and complete production and quality forms
Requirements
  • High School diploma or equivalent required
  • 2-4 years of experience working in a manufacturing environment
  • 1-2 years of experience working as a painter or powder coat operator
  • Ability to work independently and effectively communicate with team members
  • Basic computer skills and ability to read and interpret drawings and bills of material
Physical Demands

The work is classified as Medium – Heavy Physical Demand Level (PDL) by the US Dept of Labor's Dictionary of Occupational Titles.

Frequencies

Lifting demands: Lift up to 50 lbs. on a frequent basis floor to waist, lift up to 50 lbs. on an occasional basis floor to chest, carry up to 50 lbs. on an occasional basis up to 25 feet, push/pull up to 100 lbs on an occasional basis.

Postural demands: Standing – continuous, walking – continuous, bending/stooping – continuous, squatting/kneeling – continuous, lifting – continuous.

Miscellaneous demands: Gripping, manipulation, fingering – frequent to continuous, variable hand/power tool use – frequent.
