Millwright Technician Job Description

National Material Processing (NMP) is a leading provider of metals processing and supply-chain management solutions. With a rich history dating back to 1964, we have established ourselves as a trusted partner for prominent industrial and consumer product manufacturers across various industries.

We are excited to be expanding our production teams and are seeking an experienced Millwright Technician to join our fast-growing team. As a Millwright Technician, you will play a critical role in ensuring the smooth operation of our facilities and equipment.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Troubleshoot, repair, and maintain equipment to ensure optimal performance and safety.
  • Perform routine electrical and mechanical problem-solving on process and packaging equipment.
  • Effectively communicate with operators, peers, supervisors, and all levels of management to ensure seamless collaboration and information sharing.
  • Provide support where needed and complete all duties assigned by team leaders.
  • Adhere to all safety policies, including Lock-out/Tag-out (LOTO), confined space procedures, and all other plant safety policies.
Requirements and Skills:
  • Proven experience as a Millwright or in a similar role.
  • Hands-on experience with equipment and machinery.
  • Strong communication and computational skills.
  • An eye for detail and a commitment to quality.
  • Team spirit and a willingness to collaborate with others.
  • High school diploma or GED is necessary.
  • 1-3 years in the manufacturing industry is preferred.
  • Previous machine operation, material handling, production, or other warehouse-related experience is mandatory.
  • Basic math, measurement, computer skills, and ability to follow directions.
  • NMP employees must be able to repeatedly lift up to 10lbs and occasionally lift up to 30lbs as needed.
  • Ability to follow all safety and health regulations.
