Job Summary:

Centene Corporation is seeking a highly skilled Principal Threat Intelligence Analyst to join our team. As a key member of our cybersecurity team, you will be responsible for overseeing security incidents, recommending enhancements to improve security, identifying common attack patterns, and contributing to the implementation of scalable and preventative security measures.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee security incidents and recommend enhancements to improve security
  • Identify common attack patterns and contribute to the implementation of scalable and preventative security measures
  • Partner with business units to accomplish enterprise-wide remediation and develop presentations for senior leadership
  • Assess potential threats from within the organization and recommend policy and procedures to detect, mitigate, and deter insider threats
  • Stay abreast of current configurations of Centene's production information systems and networks against compliance standards
  • Discuss security service audit schedules, review access authorization, and perform access controls testing to identify security shortfalls
  • Design automated scripts, contingency plans, and other programmed responses to launch when an attack is detected
  • Collaborate with Information Security Architects, Engineers, and software or hardware stakeholders
  • Partner with internal and/or external teams according to alert priority levels, escalation trees, and triaging of security alerts, events, and notifications
  • Tie third-party attack monitoring services and threat reporting services into internal CIRT communications systems
  • Conduct post-mortem analysis with logs, network traffic flows, and other recorded information to identify intrusions and unauthorized activities

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in a quantitative or business field (e.g., statistics, mathematics, engineering, computer science)
  • 6-8 years of related experience or equivalent experience acquired through accomplishments of applicable knowledge, duties, scope, and skill reflective of the level of this position
  • Deep functional and Centene-specific knowledge
  • One or more of the following skills: knowledge of threat actor tools, techniques, and processes (TTP); indicators of compromise (IOC); endpoint protection and enterprise detection & response software (e.g., CrowdStrike or Carbon Black); network and infrastructure technologies (e.g., routers, switches, firewalls)
  • Advanced analytical, project management, and communication skills
  • SANS GIAC Security Essentials (GSEC), SANS GIAC Certified Intrusion Analyst (GCIA), or equivalent certification required
