Restaurant Manager Job Description

Utah Del, Inc. is seeking a highly motivated and experienced Restaurant Manager to join our team. As a Restaurant Manager, you will be responsible for protecting and delivering the Del Taco brand, growing sales while maximizing efficiency and profitability.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Fully staff the store with quality people
  • Recruit, hire, and retain all restaurant employees
  • Ensure the entire team is certified according to the current training process at all times
  • Create a service-oriented culture
  • Promote an environment of fun and teamwork
  • Evaluate performance and recommend salary increases
  • Recommend, approve, and administer disciplinary action, suspension, and/or termination
  • Develop and grow team members and future managers

Delivering the Brand:

  • Execute Del Taco standards and use our processes and systems 100% of the time
  • Maintain the facility and customer areas
  • Maintain all equipment to operational and safety standards
  • Deliver only quality products to Del Taco standards every time
  • Adhere to cleaning schedules and standards
  • Ensure employees are in proper uniform
  • Ensure a consistent service experience
  • Ensure POP and signage is present and in the approved location

Achieving Sales and Profitability:

  • Identify and communicate sales goals (daily, weekly, year over year)
  • Ensure the right people are in the right places according to projected/actual sales
  • Increase customer count and check average, and maximize capacity and customer value
  • Identify and execute Local Store Marketing opportunities to attract new customers
  • Stay aware of local events; understand the store's current trade area and competition
  • Execute speed (speed with a smile) and service standards
  • Flawlessly execute marketing promotions and campaigns

Requirements:

  • High School diploma or equivalent
  • 3-5 years experience in QSR industry/full service concept
  • ServSafe Certified
  • Fluent in English; Spanish is a plus
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills; great telephone manner
  • Excellent organizational skills; detail-oriented; accurate
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and math skills
  • Ability to work with minimal supervision, under pressure
  • Proven ability to lead and motivate a diverse team, and promote learning, development, and career growth

Physical Requirements/Environment/Working Conditions:

  • Office and Restaurant environment. Extended periods of standing, sitting, typing, and looking at a computer screen. May also require some reaching, bending, and lifting.
  • Ability to drive/travel to restaurant locations within assigned area, including some overnight travel.
  • Valid Driver's License and Proof of Vehicle Insurance is required.
