Job Summary

At King's Daughters, we are seeking a skilled Radiology Imaging Specialist to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in radiography and be able to apply x-ray energy and computer processing techniques to assist in diagnosis or treatment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Verify patient orders and obtain patient clinical history prior to examination.
  • Perform examinations by analyzing patient information and selecting the appropriate scanning protocol.
  • Position patients to best demonstrate anatomic areas of interest and accommodate patient comfort and modesty.
  • Practice principles of radiation protection to minimize exposure to patients, self, and others.
  • Identify and administer contrast media as prescribed by licensed practitioners.
  • Perform diagnostic testing on equipment and report malfunctioning equipment to supervisors.
Requirements
  • Graduate of a Committee on Allied Health Education and Accreditation (CAHEA) accredited radiography program or equivalent.
  • Maintains active certification by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologist (ARRT).
  • Maintains active Radiographer Operators Certificate (ROC) in the Commonwealth of Kentucky or other applicable states as needed.
  • Achieves and maintains American Heart Association Basic Life Support (BLS).
Working Environment
  • Constantly works near moving mechanical parts.
  • Constantly exposed to blood and/or body fluids and infection.
  • Occasionally exposed to toxic or caustic chemicals.
  • Occasionally exposed to risk of radiation.
