Required Qualifications:

Position Overview:
The Healthcare Education Specialist is tasked with the comprehensive assessment, strategic planning, development, execution, and evaluation of professional development initiatives tailored to meet the educational requirements of both staff and patients within the designated service area. This role leverages innovative technology to cater to the needs of adult learners across diverse roles, responsibilities, and environments.
Key Responsibilities:
- Facilitating Learning: Create and maintain an environment conducive to learning across various settings, promoting critical thinking, reasoning, and psychomotor skills.
- Supporting Learner Development: Assist employees in their professional growth, integrating the values and behaviors expected within their roles.
- Assessment and Evaluation: Employ diverse strategies for assessing and evaluating learners in multiple contexts, analyzing data to enhance professional development programs.
- Curriculum Design: Engage in the formulation of program outcomes and the design of course curricula that align with current healthcare trends, preparing learners for effective functioning in the healthcare landscape.
- Continuous Improvement: Participate in activities that foster socialization into the educator role, engage in professional development, mentor colleagues, and demonstrate a commitment to lifelong learning.
- Scholarship of Teaching: Recognize and contribute to the scholarship of teaching as a vital aspect of the role, acknowledging teaching as a scholarly endeavor.
- Collaboration: Work effectively with nursing leaders, staff, and patients to acknowledge the educational environment and understand the impact of various forces on their role.
- Perform additional related duties as required.
Licenses/Certifications:
- Registered Nurse (RN)
- Certification in clinical specialty is mandatory
Compensation:
Salary will be commensurate with experience.
Work Schedule:
Full-time position, 40 hours per week.
