Clinical Educator Neonatal ICU Specialist

The Clinical Educator I is responsible for designing and implementing professional development activities that meet the educational needs of staff and patients in the Neonatal ICU. This role utilizes emerging technology to cater to the adult learner in various settings and roles.
Key Responsibilities- Facilitate Learning: Create an environment that fosters learning and achievement of desired outcomes in various settings.
- Facilitate Learner Development and Socialization: Help employees develop into their roles and integrate the values and behaviors expected of those who fulfill those roles.
- Utilize Assessment and Evaluation Strategies: Employ various strategies for assessing and evaluating learners in different settings and domains of learning, analyzing data to improve professional development activities.
- Participate in Curriculum/Course Design and Evaluation of Program Outcomes: Formulate program outcomes and design course curriculums that reflect current healthcare trends, preparing learners to function effectively within the healthcare environment.
- Pursue Systematic Self-Evaluation and Improvement in the Educator Role: Engage in activities promoting socialization to the role, participate in professional development opportunities, mentor and support colleagues, and demonstrate a commitment to lifelong learning.
- Engage in Scholarship of Teaching: Recognize and contribute to scholarship as an integral component of the educator role, acknowledging that teaching itself is a scholarly activity.
- Function Effectively within the Organizational Environment and the Academic Community: Collaborate with nursing leaders, staff, and patients to recognize and acknowledge the educational environment, recognizing how political, institutional, social, and economic forces impact the role.
- RN with a Bachelor's Degree in nursing or a related field.
- Four years of clinical experience, with certification in a clinical specialty required.
- Current license or valid permit to practice professional nursing in Texas.
