The Industrial Engineering Expert plays a pivotal role in the planning and execution of departmental operations, focusing on the professional activities within a specialized technical area. Key Responsibilities
Project Leadership
- Lead and organize initiatives related to new facilities, manufacturing sites, equipment upgrades, layout designs, renovations, and process optimization. Oversee capital investment projects, including collaboration with Advanced Manufacturing Engineers and New Product Introduction (NPI) teams.
- Enhance operational workflows by analyzing process flow diagrams, suggesting modifications to workflows and workstations, and creating new operational procedures.
- Develop and oversee the timeline for industrial projects, ensuring timely completion of all tasks.
- Possess strong leadership skills to recruit and nurture talent, including direct management responsibilities for staffing and performance enhancement. Utilize comprehensive knowledge of technical disciplines and analytical skills to implement policies and strategies effectively.
- Maintain awareness of best practices and understand how your area of expertise integrates with other departments; stay informed about competitive factors that distinguish the organization in the market.
- Employ sound judgment and propose innovative solutions beyond established parameters to tackle complex manufacturing challenges involving technical diversity and interdependent production cycles. Leverage technical expertise and analytical reasoning, utilizing various internal and limited external resources to inform decisions.
- Serve as a resource for less experienced colleagues. May lead smaller projects with minimal risks and resource demands. Communicate information effectively and develop skills to guide team members toward consensus on relevant topics.
- Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited institution or a high school diploma/GED with a minimum of 4 years of experience in Industrial Engineering.
- At least 3 years of experience in project management.
- Excellent verbal and written communication abilities. Proven track record in problem analysis and resolution. Capable of documenting, planning, marketing, and executing programs effectively.
- Exemplifies the core behaviors of humility, transparency, and focus, essential for continuous improvement.
- Results-driven with a commitment to delivering sustainable outcomes.
- Adept at evaluating key business metrics and situations from a leadership perspective, leveraging lean methodologies for improvement.
