Position Overview:

As a key member of the pharmacy leadership team, the Clinical Pharmacy Operations Manager is responsible for the comprehensive management of pharmacy services. This role includes overseeing pharmacy operations, personnel management, and ensuring compliance with regulatory standards.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Manage daily pharmacy operations, including scheduling and workflow coordination.
  • Supervise the procurement and compounding of medications, ensuring adherence to best practices.
  • Participate in quality assurance initiatives and represent the pharmacy department on various committees.
  • Collaborate with healthcare professionals to enhance pharmacy services and patient care.
  • Oversee sterile compounding processes and hazardous drug management to meet regulatory requirements.
  • Lead recruitment, training, and development efforts for pharmacy staff.

Qualifications:
  • PharmD or Bachelor of Science in Pharmacy from an accredited institution.
  • Active pharmacist license in the District of Columbia.
  • Completion of an ASHP accredited residency program or equivalent experience.
  • Advanced training in management (MS, MBA, MPH) or equivalent experience.
  • Minimum of two years in hospital pharmacy practice and supervisory experience preferred.

Work Schedule:
Full-Time, Day Shift. No on-call or weekend duties required.
