Our clients include the Florida Department of Transportation (FDOT) and other local agencies.
Job Summary:
We are seeking a skilled CEI Inspector to join our CEI Team and contribute to the success of our organization. As a CEI Inspector, you will be responsible for monitoring the contractor's on-site construction activities and inspecting materials entering into the work to ensure compliance with plans, specifications, and special provisions for the construction contract.
Key Responsibilities:
- Inspect and Monitor: Conduct regular inspections of the contractor's on-site construction activities to ensure compliance with plans, specifications, and special provisions.
- Record Keeping: Maintain detailed records of the contractor's daily operations and events that affect the work, including monitoring and inspecting contractor's work zone traffic control plan.
- Sampling and Testing: Perform sampling and testing of component materials and completed work in accordance with the construction contract.
- Supervision: Assist and receive general supervision from the Senior Inspector.
Requirements:
- Civil Engineering Degree: A Civil Engineering degree with demonstrated knowledge in construction inspection and the ability to earn the required qualifications and certifications within one year.
- High School Diploma or Equivalent: A High School Diploma or equivalent with two (2) years of experience in construction inspection, one (1) year of which shall have been in bridge and/or roadway construction inspection.
Qualifications and Certifications:
- CTQP Certifications: Possess CTQP certifications in Concrete Field Inspector Level I, Asphalt Roadway Level I, Earthwork Construction Inspection Level I, Pile Driving Inspection, Drilled Shaft Inspection, and Final Estimates Level I.
- FDOT Certification: Hold FDOT Intermediate MOT certification.
- Nuclear Radiation Safety: Possess Nuclear Radiation Safety certification.
- Computer Skills: Proficient in computer programs and engineering software necessary to perform these duties, such as Microsoft Office Suite, MAC, and AASHTO Project Construction (PrC).
