Job Summary

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Construction Inspector to join our team at Apex Companies, LLC. As a Construction Inspector, you will be responsible for observing and inspecting various construction projects, including roadways, bridges, pedestrian facilities, utilities, and associated improvements.

Responsibilities
  • Measure distances to verify accuracy of dimensions of structural installations and layouts.
  • Verify levels, alignment, and elevation of installations.
  • Observe work in progress to determine whether procedures followed, and materials used are in reasonable conformance with applicable specifications.
  • Interpret blueprints and specifications for contractors and discuss deviations from specified construction procedures to ensure compliance with regulations governing construction.
  • Maintain daily logs of construction and inspection activities and compare progress reports.
  • Track progress and quantity of construction work items.
  • Perform and document testing of certain construction work items as defined in the contract documents.
Requirements
  • Construction experience required in roadway, bridge, utility, and/or site civil construction.
  • CEI experience with roadway construction preferred.
  • Ability to lift and carry 50 pounds.
  • Must have an excellent driving record, be at least 21 years of age, and have a valid driver's license.
