Job Title: Construction Field Inspector

We are seeking a highly skilled Construction Field Inspector to join our team at ECS Group of Companies. As a Construction Field Inspector, you will be responsible for performing inspections of structural components in new construction, ensuring that buildings meet the required standards and codes.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Perform inspections of structural components, including CMU's, cast-in-place concrete, reinforcing steel, shoring/reshoring, post-tensioned cable, precast/pre-stress members, and wood-framed systems.
  • Conduct field observations and obtain samples for testing.
  • Document field observations by transmitting daily field reports detailing site activities.
  • Perform destructive and non-destructive testing on construction materials, including operating electric, pneumatic, and power-actuated tools.
  • Communicate daily with site contractors, other technicians, and project managers.
  • Perform administrative duties as requested.
Requirements:
  • BSCE or MSCE in Civil, Structural, or Architectural Engineering from an ABET-accredited university preferred.
  • 4+ years of relevant experience may be considered in lieu of a degree.
  • Licensed PE or Registered Architect in Florida.
  • Registered Florida Building BN License.
  • General Contractor would be a plus.
  • Valid Florida Drivers License.
Additional Certifications:
  • ACI certification in concrete construction special inspection.
  • ICC certification in structural masonry special inspection.
  • PTI certification in post-tensioning inspection.
  • AISC certification in structural steel special inspection.
