Job Overview

Ember Lab is seeking a highly skilled Senior Gameplay Animator to join our team. As a key member of our animation department, you will be responsible for conceptualizing, designing, developing, and executing 3D animations that bring our games to life.

Key Responsibilities
  • Animation Creation: Develop and implement high-quality 3D animations for gameplay and interactive events, ensuring seamless integration with game mechanics and technical constraints.
  • Collaboration: Work closely with design and engineering teams to align animations with game design and technical requirements, ensuring a cohesive and engaging player experience.
  • Animation Iteration: Refine and iterate on animations based on feedback from team members and playtesting, ensuring the highest level of quality and polish.
  • Animation Tools and Workflows: Contribute to the development and maintenance of animation workflows and tools, streamlining the animation process and improving efficiency.
  • Industry Trends and Techniques: Stay up-to-date with the latest industry trends and techniques, applying this knowledge to continually improve the quality and realism of animations.
Requirements
  • 5+ years of experience in gameplay animation
  • Strong skills in animating body mechanics and action
  • Excellent Maya animation skills
  • Proficient with animation systems in UE5
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Strong time management skills and ability to meet deadlines
  • Shipped 1+ title
  • Unreal Engine 4 or 5 experience
Compensation

The standard annual base salary range for this role in the U.S. is $88,000 - $120,000 USD. Actual pay will vary depending on experience, qualifications, performance, and location. The base salary range for locations outside of the U.S. will be adjusted according to location.
