The Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) will deliver personalized, direct therapy aimed at enhancing communication, social interaction, and daily living skills while addressing challenging behaviors in various environments, including home, community, and educational settings. This role will employ strategies rooted in the principles of Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) and will operate under the close guidance of a Board-Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA).
Key ResponsibilitiesTherapeutic Intervention: Provide one-on-one therapy sessions to clients, focusing on skill acquisition and behavior modification.
Collaboration: Work closely with the BCBA to implement individualized treatment plans and adjust strategies as needed.
Documentation: Maintain accurate records of client progress and behavior data.
QualificationsEssential:
- RBT Certification (training opportunities available)
- High school diploma or GED (some college experience preferred)
- Experience with children, particularly those on the autism spectrum (preferred)
- Passion for working with children
- High energy and engaging personality
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to pass a background check
- Excellent organizational skills and time management
- Willingness to apply feedback promptly
- Professional demeanor
- Capability to lift a minimum of 20 lbs
- Physical stamina to engage in activities throughout an 8-hour shift
