Responsibilities- Administer medications within the scope of practice and hospital policies.
- Assess and evaluate patients' physical and mental status, interpreting lab and diagnostic results as needed.
- Identify patient care requirements and work with multidisciplinary teams to resolve patient problems.
- Promote patient independence by establishing care goals, teaching patients and significant others, and answering questions.
- Ensure quality of care by adhering to therapeutic standards and measuring health outcomes against patient care goals.
- Maintain a safe and clean working environment, adhering to policies and protocols.
- Protect patient and employee confidentiality, maintaining continuity through documentation and communication.
- Thorough knowledge of medical equipment and excellent oral and written communication skills.
- Ability to administer medications per policy and procedure, interpret lab and diagnostic results, and communicate with all disciplines using SBAR.
- Clinical skills, bedside manner, infection control, nursing skills, physiological knowledge, and ability to multi-task.
- ED/ICU Requirement: ACLS, MED SURG AREAS Requirement: BLS.
- EDUCATION: Bachelors Nursing Preferred, College Diploma Nursing Required, 0 years Required, Licensed Registered Nurse, Certified Cardiac Pulmonary Resuscitation.
