Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Cardiac Sonographer - Registered to join our team at Methodist Hospitals. As a key member of our Cardiac EDX department, you will be responsible for performing echocardiographic studies, working collaboratively with cardiologists to achieve optimal cardiac imaging, and providing oversight to non-registered sonographers.

Key Responsibilities
  • Acquire high-quality images in accordance with industry standards.
  • Prepare and download images into Philips Xcelera PAC's for timely reading by cardiologists.
  • Collaborate with ordering physicians to ensure echo studies are completed efficiently.
  • Work directly with reading physicians to ensure images are comprehensive and of acceptable quality.
  • Perform EKGs and apply Arrhythmia Monitors and Holters as needed.
  • Transmit pediatric images to affiliated pediatric cardiologists for review.
  • Participate in continuing education programs and department meetings.
Requirements
  • Registered and current with Cardiovascular Credentialing (RCS) or American Registry for Diagnostic Medical Sonography (ARDMS).
  • High School Diploma/GED Equivalent General Studies Required.
  • Two (2) years of progressively responsible echocardiography work experience.
