Job Title: Patient Service Representative

Join Charles River Community Health as a Patient Service Representative and play a vital role in delivering exceptional customer service to our patients. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for ensuring that all interactions between Administration, Customer Service operations, and patients are professional, helpful, and create a welcoming atmosphere for all community members.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide consistently positive customer service to patients and visitors
  • Assist with scheduling appointments, responding to patient inquiries, and maintaining accurate records
  • Work closely with medical, dental, behavioral health, and vision providers to inform patients about delays and waiting times
  • Collaborate with the Health Benefits Department to ensure that patients have approved plans in place before or at the time of their visit
  • Collect payments from patients and ensure that necessary paperwork is completed
  • Be flexible and available to cover staffing needs across the health center when other staff are not available
Requirements:
  • At least 3 years of healthcare experience, customer service experience, and in/outpatient clinical setting
  • Ability to show empathy and humility when interacting with patients
  • Familiarity with Outlook, Electronic Medical Programs, registration, and scheduling systems
  • Ability to learn and keep up-to-date on all medical insurances
  • Preferred bilingual English/Spanish or English/Portuguese
