Procurement Manager Job Description

Summit Ridge Energy is seeking a highly skilled Procurement Manager to lead our procurement efforts and drive business growth. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for developing and implementing procurement strategies that align with our company's overall business objectives.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and execute procurement plans to meet business objectives
  • Source and manage owner-supplied equipment
  • Ensure timely procurement and delivery of Owner-Supplied Equipment to support Project Schedules
  • Prepare Supply Agreements and Purchase Orders and all necessary backup
  • Manage 3rd party logistics
  • Understand supply capacity and market trends
  • Qualify suppliers to ensure compliance with the company's corporate policies and contracts
  • Prepare formal RFPs for equipment and assist with review & evaluation of proposals in conjunction with the Engineering team
  • Maintain and manage inventory levels; oversee team member who conducts random records/warehouse inspections
  • Prepare and review appropriate documentation (A&A, Waivers, and other documentation as required) to support project financing
  • Prepare and present procurement recommendations to senior leadership
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in engineering, supply chain management, or general management
  • 3-5 years of relevant experience or equivalent combination of education and experience in the same or similar environments
  • Experience managing a team
  • Some knowledge of electrical systems
  • Solid and effective interpersonal and communication skills
  • Knowledge of the procurement process and experience negotiating contracts
  • Strong organizational and time management skills; acute awareness and ability to manage numerous deadlines
  • Technical proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, SharePoint)
  • Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships internally and externally
  • Demonstrated independent thinking, initiative, and creativity
  • Ability to function successfully both independently and within a team
  • Knowledge of renewable energy systems, engineering principles, project management processes, and construction management processes preferred
  • Authorized to work in the US
